Northtech introduces the NT-610XL-30Z Heavy Duty Chain Drive Series Double Surface Planer 24" width, spiral rows of insert type (4sided) carbide knives (8 row/ 30 x 12 x 2.5), QTY-210) this head facilitates greater depth of cut, higher feed speeds, improved finish as well as minimal tooling change over time, chrome bed, ***Insert cutterhead for unsurpassed feeding speed, depth of cut and finish, massive 3/4" and 1" drive mated to extra HD clutch allow feed speed of 30'-100'min vs, system is standard with LED readout, hour meter, electronic digital table positioning, double infeed roller for added work support***, amp meters, all cutterhead bearings to be "Class 7" NKS brand, HP of 30HP top head, 30HP bottom head, 5HP feed motor and 1HP elevation motor are standard on Standard Speed Series, 6 belt power transmission provides superior feeding and milling capacities as well as an improved thru feeding environment. Heavy duty chain and sprocket drive system allows heavy milling and high finish with the most difficult lumber. Slip type clutch is engineered into drive system allowing constant protection of chains and sprockets should jamming ever occur.

Top cutterhead positioning is accomplished by means of a digital controller(Included). * data input controller + encoder and ball screw (Model DP-625 controller). Allows 0.000 settings. Double infeed roller system provides additional support for longer lumber and adds to the straightening effect of the bottom cutterhead. Conveyer type "spike" infeed carpet with a feed range of 30' - 90' per minute. * 1,100 spikes with 3/4 inch stroke complete the entire infeed system. Infeed conveyor includes automatic lubrication system ensuring constant oiling of guide track, chains and sprockets. Surfacer allows very easy access to both top and bottom cutterheads providing quick and easy tooling access. All electrical components are assembled into 1 remote dust proof cabinet.
